Delcia McNeil

Delcia is an abstract painter, and as a member of the Junction Gallery she really values being part of a supportive local arts community. Her images focus on expressing the unseen — energies, moods, and emotions. She also enjoys creating some representational work, especially photography.

Delcia is interested in ideas around consciousness, healing, and our connection to nature, and she explores these through colour, texture, and movement. Sometimes she starts with a clear idea, and other times the image grows through her process of layering and working with different materials – acrylic, pencil, gesso, crayon, pastel, ink, and collage.

She also uses her iPad as part of her practice, creating digital artworks directly or developing photographs and original paintings.

Therapeutic Influence

Delcia’s background as a psychotherapist and energy healing practitioner deeply informs her art. She integrates art into therapy and runs an online therapeutic art group, Paint Your Art Out, encouraging creative expression for healing and self-discovery.
