Annie McNaughton
Annie works from her home studio, in two different mediums. She is mainly self-taught, though she does hold a post-graduate qualification in Art & Design.
Firstly, Annie creates decorative mosaics, from broken or unloved, unwanted crockery, and from pottery sherds scavenged from Silverdale beaches.
Annie also hand-builds with clay to make ceramic plaques, pots and garden ornaments. She lives in Silverdale and is inspired by the wealth of local birdlife and wildlife around.
She sometimes combines both art forms, by creating her own ceramic pieces to include in her mosaics.
As well as exhibiting in Junction Gallery, Annie sells her work at local art fairs such as Silverdale Arts Festival.
